Yay to Katie Rubin for reppin’ the Northeast! And yay to Deepa for reppin’ our lab! A ghost bid in your novice year? Pretty incredible!
Andrew Jarrett is the one of the nicest, most genuine, and most humble people I have ever met, not just in debate, but in life. Good luck!

In response to ???,
Your comment about Walt Johnson getting to finals is quite disturbing and obnoxious for four reasons:
1. Having spent a full two days with Walt, I can say that he might just be one of the nicest and most humble debaters out there in contrast to some people aka like you who may be alittle to cocky about their debating success or lack thereof.
2. Just because you have debated Walt before and may not think he is talented, that is only your opinion and since it is a negative one you shouldn’t be posting it online for everyone to see. People with nasty things to say about other people like you should keep it to themselves, especially because I know Walt wouldn’t be saying that about you.
3. Just becase you may think that Walt is “bad” because you have a more progressive style of debate doesn’t mean he is bad. He is probably one of the most talented slow/traditional styled debaters today, which definently displays true talent because LD is consistently becoming more “progressive” and those that are still debating traditionally and can do it effectively are in the minority.
4. And last, you really should shut up because a. it is possible that people improve as they debate more and more, so your statement is quite hasty and b. YOU WERE NOT THE ONE IN FINALS THAT GOT A BID AT VESTAVIA SO DONT RAG ON SOMEONE ELSES SUCCESS.

Why bother responding to someone who is so un-self-aware that they have to adopt the moniker “???”? If they wish to be unknown, let them be unknown and unacknowledged.

Well it was a hell of a tournament congrats to sid and deepa you guys are amazing deepa I had no idea this was your first year….. You hella almost beat me wow your going to be amazing next year. Congrats to Andrew to bad for our little screw up first round but hey what ever it made it more fun, and good job to every one who didn’t break : even mayo, Heather, alok (sorry about the racist judge)
And as for ?????
Walt is a good debater he took out me and Andrew both of whom are very progressive and he never went fast it just goes to show you a little adaptation and some good skill will get you a bid so congrats Walt good luck
Heck of a tournament yall

1st: Congrats to Sid on winning and getting the Bid, also congrats to Corey for being awesome, and congrats to all who broke.
now, Ive come to notice that when tournament results come up that some1 has to complain about some debater being horrid at debate, but doing extremely well at a tourney. All I have to say is that these people (like Walt, sry to generalize) got to late outrounds for a reason, they debated better than almost everyone else.
I just want to ask ppl to stop posting these stupid comments on VBD. It turns into everyone posting responses to them and not using VBD for what its here for. So can we plz just put a stop to the stupidity? And if some1 is being stupid, why not just not respond at all. It’s common knowledge that whoever theyre complaining about is probably good, and theyre just sour about it.
